With a name like “Bison,” you’d think this flipper would be bulkier than it is. In reality, the Bestech Bison is a sleek, easy-to-control folder made with premium materials Read More

theupandcomingWell, titanium is always going to cost you a bit extra. Plus, this model also has a Carbon Fiber Show side scale option. So keep that in mind. Premium materials, will bump the price up some.
We have hardness tested 19 of these Bestech knives now, and the range has been 58-62 HRC. Bestech, had done a very good job with D2.
I realize this listing is for the Bestech Bison but thought i would weigh in on BT higher end folders in general. I own several g10 series BT and they are great values so i decided to try out a higher end Ti model, the shinkansen front flipper, and wow! It really is substantially nicer with an incredible fall shut action right out the box rivaling alot in my collection costing more! I also own a factor equipment verve which was OEM made by BT and its the same! (You can see the obvious similarities between the two pictured). Very nice action and machining as well. The ano is vibrant (green specifically) and the 3D milled clips work well. Pivot collars are aluminum btw which is fine with me. Nice real CF on the shinkansen.

Haven't handled a bison yet but i imagine Its similar in quality, just wish it wasnt D2 (its ok just not my favorite steel). anyone who is on the fence about the higher end BT i say go for it! Ive been really impressed with mine and they are worth the extra.
I'm a little bummed after receiving a CF version of the knife with a defect in the layup on the scale. Not sure how Bestech thought this would be OK to pass QC but apparently the appearance of the CF isn't on their checklist. Action and feel was awesome but looks matter too. Sending it back, but no replacements available so I gotta wait for another run.
EDIT: decided to keep it anyway and look for replacement scale options - and still waiting for another run to get a keeper for the collection.
I bought this knife, when it first came out. Along with all of the other Bestech models.
I was hesitant, not being sure that this one would be my thing. Considering the Ti/price increase.
I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Thinking I would just sell it off, if I didn't like it.
It is far and away, the best Bestech knife. In my opinion. If you want a super smooth action, with a very crisp flip. Easy in & out of the pocket. A nice long blade length, and a forward finger choil, that actually has room for a finger. This knife is for you!
