Looking at the Pterodactyl from the side, you immediately get a sense of its name. As if the flying dinosaur was flapping its wings, the knife features a long, undulating look, like it’s propelling itself forward. Aside from looks, the knife impresses, too. It’s armed with a 3.6-inch modified wharncliffe blade made from premium S35VN stainless steel for excellent edge retention and abrasion resistance. The handle, available in three different colors, is made from titanium with a carbon fiber insert that hangs over the frame lock—but it doesn’t impede the movement at all. In fact, the blade’s movement is super smooth thanks to the ceramic ball bearing system. Press with medium force and it will fly open with ease. The finger choil in the handle makes the Pterodactyl extremely comfortable in the reverse grip as well. For an extra prehistoric look, go for the green version.
