The typography of the word "LION" on the blade looks like ass.
That, to me, is a dealbreaker. Even at $36.99.
Also, the ESEE Zancudo dropped recently at $27.50. That has D2 steel as well (though no G10 scales), and I think I trust ESEE to heat treat its D2 better than an untested Chinese manufacturer.
Daisy_Cutterthe one that I saw for 27 was the Aus8 steel. where do you see the d2 for that price?

Here you go!
Also, I just realised that for $6 more, you can get the very well reviewed Steel Will Cutjack. Again though, this has FRN scales instead of G10, if that's important.

Ben78Sadly, yes. Though as I mentioned earlier, something else that can be had now for $6 more is the Steel Will Cutjack, which is well reviewed and has a D2 blade. On the downside, it also has FRN scales instead of G10.

Ben78They will probably have its little brother before the d2 gets restocked.

Airmayleaye more seem to have the on in 390 but its 100 bucks more and im kinda siding with Nick Shabazz that comparing the 2 the D2 version is arguably the better value for the money not saying the upgraded version isnt a really good knife just not 3 times better

Ben78Ya I liked his review. If you look on Steel Will website you will see the Cutjack D2 in the smaller size, price point around $35. It should be in online stores soon.

Daisy_CutterBestech knives has been producing cutlery in China for over a decade, most likely as an OEM. So they've probably produced knives for other companies using D2 and decided to try their own line up. If this is the case I'd assume they know how to heat treat the steel properly. Also they have some very high quality knives featuring S35VN so the craftsmanship certainly isn't lacking. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
