Just got mine, and I’m pretty impressed. Fit and finish is great for this price point, in my opinion. Blade is dead center, no play at all, lockup is solid, no unpleasant sharp edges, everything seems to be chamfered where it should be. Even the inside of the liner on the front of the handle all the way down are beveled nicely. The edge on mine was very good right out of the box, not a mirror edge, but push cut a whole phone book page no problem, love the edge that D2 takes. The stonewash is actually only on the full thickness portions of the blade, the swedge and grind are satin milled finish, which is literally 90% of the blade surface, bit disappointing.
This thing is heavy, 137 grams, built from big chunks of steel with G10 slapped on the sides, not a problem for me, but might be for others. Seems like it could take some abuse, we’ll see.
Deployment is quick and easy, reasonably smooth and I expect it might even smooth out a bit more with use. I did notice that the bearings do not seem to be caged, can’t verify that though, and I’m not sure I’d want to find out the hard way by taking it apart and losing them. Thats a bit disappointing if true, but maybe they’ll be easier to flush clean without disassembly? Overall, my initial impression is that it’s a great knife for the money especially for the MD price. I only have minor gripes that are really just design choices, not quality issues.

kennedyzeroI am having the same experience/impressions as you. How could you tell it's not caged? I'm new to the knife world. I also got the kershaws and Kizers from here and surprisingly this Bestech in D2 came with the sharpest edge, but just slightly over the Kizer in S35VN.
I love all my knives so far, but I am very impressed with this one for the price. I got the beige one and aiming for the green one next time if the price doesn't spike.

Oh.LeeverI also chose the beige 👍 I think it looks great. As I said, I can’t verify that the bearings aren’t caged, but if you shine a light from behind the pivot, you can see the bearings. On other knives I have on bearings, I can see the cage surrounding the bearings. Its possible the cage on these are recessed into the scales, but I’ve not seen that before. I’ll probably get curious enough to take it apart and check one day, but that day is not today.😏

kennedyzeroUpdate, the bearings are captive bearings, also, liking this knife more and more as I use it. There was a little bit of lock stick, but some graphite on the lock surface cleaned it up.
