SynistrMotivAside from the fact that I don't think they look anything alike :
G10 scales on this are more costly than frn scales on the crkt.
This is 3.5" of D2 steel vs 3.25" of AUS8 (personally I like D2 of the two).
This has a ceramic ball bearing pivot vs washers on the crkt.
The fit and finish on every bestech I've owned has been far superior to any crkt I've owned (or handled and decided against buying)
If you like the looks equally, I'd recommend the Bestech without hesitation
Kavikthe smoothness of the bearings beats all the lower end CRKTs ...that being said i have a lot of fixed blade and high end folders that are CRKTs and they are great..but they are definitely not 40-50 $ knives. comparing them within the same price point i have to say Bestechs are way higher quality wise...
bambam67I know I've looked at a fair amount of crkt's, but off the top of my head, I don't remember any of their prices.
Maybe I haven't seen their best
bambam67Certainly! I see that now.
My Shenanigan is a nice knife, but this surpasses it by far.
I like that it is softer on my pants.
The Shenanigan has a nicer grip, but because of where the lever is it bites into your pants.
I do not regret the switch.
Kavikthe James williams designs i have are 70 bucks on the low end and 200-300 top end. shizuka no ken, otanashi folders and the bestechs pivots are real close smoothness and quality and the shinbu, hissou and skamori fixed blades i would'nt trade for anything. i wish bestech would do some fixed blades. would be real interested in some.
as well as the Ken Onion Titanium EROS at 80+...but i think the bestechs are smoother opening than even his
SynistrMotivhave a ken onion aluminum handled shenanigan ..never compared shape or length, now im gonna have to break em out and compare...i do agree that the bestechs are very forgiving on the pocket.
