wish i could justify getting the copper one, but i already got the black one on the last drop. and i use it often, it's great. Though, it's so good i can't justify getting a copper one to replace it just for patina... also i don't particularly like the smell of copper on my hands

Patina aside, Copper has excellent Antimicrobial properties.

I just sniffed it. It smells like a couple of brand new pennies. Not the in circulation for 40 years penny.

Interesting fact: the smell isn't from the metal. It's from the decomposing oils left from your skin.

Which (iirc)are being decomposed by the copper ions that were released when the sweat in your hands started corroding the metal.

very informative! still don't like the smell.... note to self, wear gloves when holding copper to avoid "copper-smell"
