My Beta-QR came today. I wish I'd had it last week when a thunderstorm knocked out the lights while I was in the supermarket, and the backup lights didn't work. The quality is excellent and the two light modes are reasonable, although I don't understand why all the finishes don't have three levels. It's a little on the long side for a pocket, but it's lightweight. I suggest putting some better knurling on the front barrel, since it's a twist-on light. The front barrel is slippery except for some very fine grooves.

BarryHaving 2 mode makes it easier to use. Not everyone needs moonlight mode. The 2mode driver looks like it uses Constant Current. The 3mode uses PWM. You might get a bit longer runtime with CC also it's flicker free. The PWM on the copper is done right. You won't notice any flickering on it.

B.manThanks for the info. I'll be adding the TM-26 to my key ring for its moonlight mode. ;)

BarrySame for me, right along side the Leatherman Surge multi tool. I might not be able to find my keys, but otherwise I'll be prepared. :)

B.manI would have thought that PWM would increase runtime, since the LED is essentially off for some of the time.
I lamented the fact that the Beta-QR simply didn't all come with the 3 modes, but after a couple weeks with it, I'm finding that 2 modes is good enough. Otherwise, I'd be flipping between all the modes just to get the mode I want.
So far, the quick release is awesomely useful. I just hope it'll last. I'd hate to find my flashlight fell off my keychain... since that's how I lost my first EDC flashlight. Fortunately, it was just a cheapy LED flashlight, with an almost useless level of light output, but it was still better to have it than no flashlight at all.
