is the reprint 2nd edition really as bad as everyone says? that the tiles are much thinner stock and are prone to warping? is it worth it to pay a premium and try to find a used Avalon Hill 1st edition copy?
will WOTC/hasbro ever print a 3rd edition and fix some of the issues of the 2nd?
on fence...
thanks

jpluscDid anyone ever respond? I have a very battered old first edition and jumped on the chance to get the re release. I would say the second edition is similar build quality with the exception of the character tiles. The arrows that match with the traits move around a bit to much, so we use the old character tiles. Everything else, including the tiles with the house, are equivalent to the original (and I've had to clean beverages off both!). They also fixed the problem of the lake being on the second level.
We we did NOT purchase the expansion. Sadly, it was developed by game testers who have never played the first game before, so it's gotten crappy reviews. The original offers infinite varieties, why bother with a subpar game? We literally play it every week for the past 3 years and have yet to replay the same scenario.
