High Output Impedance is to maintain similar SPL at different loads Of course don't go and plug your AKGs to this amp ....but its pretty excellent for Beyer and Senn HI phones , price seems to be good , I'm getting a similar price directly form Beyer in my country , so I'm gonna pass otherwise would have jumped on it .

Is the listed 100 ohm output impedance correct? I've never seen a solid state amp with output impedance that high.

AlameiIgnoring ideal damping factor for MOST cans, this was specifically designed for the 250-600 ohm Beyers. I remember one of the engineers at Beyer said this... You might find the link to that discussion somewhere here: http://nwavguy.blogspot.ca/
It's in the comments section in one of the blog entries, if I remember correctly.

kennyk64What do you expect when they have to order a huge truckload of things, then re-package it all and sort it + ship it out everywhere. They certainly don't want to have to fill out customs forms for everything individually.

Tempting, tempting. This is an amazing solid state amp, received great reviews and pairs beautiful with many hard to drive heapphones. Just not in my budget at the moment.....
