Good for what it's meant for
This headphone is good for it's purpose - being a second headphone for external usage. Don't expect to use it for long hours - every time I use it my ears get a little uncomfortable due to the cup sizes. That said, I only use it for small periods, when I'm not home or when I need to record an instrument. Besides that, it keeps the overall expected result from a Beyer headphone, which is great.

Excelent
For this value I cannot think of another good hearing aid. Very referential audio with a natural tone. It is light and comfortable to wear. You don't need a lot of amplification to feed properly

Great budget headphones that do not sound cheap
Built: Not problem with the built for this price range. They seem solid for a pair of plastic built headphones. Comfort: They clamp a little more since these are on ear. If you don't like high clamping force, this could be a problem for you. I wear glasses, and I don't find them uncomfortable even after a couple hours of use. Sound: Sound signature is quite balanced across spectrum. It has a slight warmth to it, and not analytical like the DT1990. I was pretty impressed with the treble and bass extension of these headphones. I have not heard another headphones under $100 have better extension than these. Overall, I highly recommend these headphones as long as you don't mind the on-ear design and the clamp force. If you don't like the coiled cable, it's not hard to find a after market cable. The other great thing I forgot to mention is that you can plug the cable into either earcups.

An all-rounded budget headphone
Build/Comfort: Small enough and Comfortable enough Build - The build is small enough so you could fit in your bag and take it places. It's actually small enough just to fit my medium-sized ears perfectly, as in anymore smaller would be bad for my ear. The pads are just wide and deep enough that it would give me discomfort if I misaligned it anywhere. No recommended for big ears. Comfort - Earpads' size combined with tight clamp makes it uncomfortable as first so I just stretched it over a small box for 2 days. Now, even though I can feel it on my head, it doesn't bother me at all Sound: Neutral sound with a bit of warmth Low - Slightly boosted and just enough that it keeps the baseline of your songs and make it full. For references purposes, you probably need to EQ the bass down a bit. Mids - Just perfect to my ears, especially for female vocal. It sounds full and natural. Highs - Comfortable amount and just enough air Verdict: Even though it just barely checks all of my boxes for an all-rounder, I'm still impressed that it checked all of the boxes. Definitely recommended.

Fits comfortably and the sound is perfect
I have been wearing on ear headphones for the past six months (the first time since I was 14) so this may have influenced my enthusiasm but I hold that these over ear headphones are perfection. My girlfriend recently purchased these headphones and had me test them out. I really love the sound, the comfy fit over my ears and how well it keeps external sound out. Does the job well and for an absurdly affordable price.

Sound wise I like the Mdr-1a for dynamic and solid bass flavors. Detail preferred leans me toward the m50x. The dt240 fall between them for me (after some burn in - prior the highs were obnoxious). Bass is tight and ready on demand but reserved when not required. Otherwise fairly balanced across the bandwidths. Comfort, Mdr-1a are fantastic and make you want to wear them. M50x are ok, even better with wear (still clamp a bit but not a deal breaker). The dt240 sit last here. I have fairly small ears and these are not over-ear, but close (80/20 over vs on) . If you have big ears they'll feel like on-ear I imagine. Clamping force is ok but the pads could be better. You can feel where the corner/stitching touches - doesn't hurt or agitate, but you're aware. Build quality, these are above average considering the price point. Metal where it counts and materials all feel good. I also like the coiled cable for desk use as keeps it short enough to be out of the way yet has some give for when turning around or reaching for something so they don't snap off you head suddenly. Cloth bag is good for a wipe rag and storing on desk or in drawer but these seem pretty tough so should be ok throwing in a backpack without too much concern. Overall recommend, especially for the low price. Compare well to way more expensive cans (2 noted above) but keep in mind these lean toward studio sound (m50x like vs 'playful' Mdr-1a). Ideal as a extra pair for work if you are uncomfortable leaving the delish versions there. They also look stealthy noting a quality brand. Hope this helps someone in some way. Happy headphone hunting.

Awesome headphones! Almost comparable to my DT880s (sound-wise). The clamp is a bit too tight when using for long periods of time, but I suppose it will loosen up over time.

cyan-000Indeed, I thought the sound signature was quite similar to the DT880pro when I tried them in the shop :)
