Best entry level, neutral sounding, closed back
Sound: Frequency response is almost flat with very less coloration. Bass is fast, tight and slightly boomy. Treble is not too piercing/sibilant. Mid range is satisfyingly sufficient and not too chesty. less wide closed back soundstage. Imaging was not too accurate. Less resolving when directly compared to HE4XX. Otherwise, I think I could hear every little detail clumped together. Build & comfort: Well built, velour pads with hard foam, lightweight with strong clamping force. Make sure to align the pads parallel to head, otherwise, end up with a little discomfort after sometime. Pros: Closed back, neutral sound with no coloration, build quality, lightweight, velour pads, clamps and seals to not leak sound, one sided cable (attached to left), works on smartphones, best for noisy environments. Cons: Non removable/replaceable cable, clamping force could hurt (ONLY if not properly aligned while wearing), does not scale as much with amps, not as airy as open back.
