What Beyerdynamic model have the best low end in your opinion please message me.
770, then 990, then 880. Haven't heard the new lineup but those are priced at a much higher price anyway.
Thanks camper :) appreciate your message, happy listening mate :D
Oh and out of those three models which would you say has a good sound stage as well? Can you please detail your thoughts on each model in detail so I can then decide which would be best in this category?
Well it's really simple actually, DT990 and 880 have a better soundstage than the 770 model since they are semi open and open. However in reality, I didn't find it that much impressive really, it's just slightly "outside of your head" but nothing majestic.
so to break it down:
DT770 - Closed, V shaped sound signature, mids are recessed but the bass is good and treble is clear. Definitely fun for gaming and casual listening.
DT880 - Semiopen, very neutral sounding, might be boring if you're just going to listen to music on it, but treble is more emphasized than on the 770.
DT990 - Open, also has pretty decent bass for an open can. Similarly V shaped like the 770, has more detailed midrange and sharper highs (to some they are piercing slightly, but it's not as extreme as people make it out to be on the Internet)
Depends on what you wanna do with them as always, but I hope this helped a bit :)
Also it's been a while since I've heard all three, but all of them were 250Ohm models so I don't know if the other ones sound any different, but there's a great article on Head-fi about each model so check that out.
FWI- The Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro's are awesome!
I ended up getting the 770s and I'm really enjoying them, just need a good dac to go with them now can anyone recommend?
That was a really helpful post thanks so much mate huge help!!!!!
