Looks like this is not a deal at all, I'll ask anyway..
What's the difference between the Pro and the Premium? Both recent Massdrop versions are 250 ohms, Are they sounding the same?
AFAIK, the difference is only in the looks. Some say they have slightly different clamping force, so it might affect sound a little; otherwise, they are pretty much the same.
The 250s are harder to drive and by being harder to drive they don't move as much. So when the headphones attempt to make a sound they returns to the original position faster resulting in what some call a better sound. I have the 880 premiums in 250 ohms and they do sound really good. I run them with the schiit stack uber, i love women vocals on these headphones, for gaming to me they suck. At this price is a No No you can find them for WAY less i got my on a great deal for $120 but right now on amazon the BeyerDynamic DT 880 Premium Special Edition Chrome Version 250 ohm is going for $169 so just get those or wait for a sale on one of the other versions. Hope this helps and good luck
Nope, not a deal at all. There's no difference in the sound. Fit and finish are different and there are some different exterior design cues. Big thing for me was that the pro has a coiled cable, which I really didn't like, but that may just be my preference.
Do some research on the difference of ohms or maybe there's someone else here that knows about this or just go read. There is absolutely a difference in sound if they are telling you otherwise it's because they have no experience with it. Like for example if you was going to tube it you may not want the 32 ohm because it may or will start picking things up out of the tube that you don't want, now with the 250 ohm you won't pick those unwanted sounds up anymore. Your turn
Noone here asked about difference in 32 Ohm vs 250 Ohm. The OP asked about difference between Pro and Premium models of same 250 Ohmage.
So yeah, do some research on properly reading the question, I guess.
You are absolutely right sir I apologize
