I have a pair of 250 ohm 880 Premiums that I bought in a drop about 3 or 4 years ago. I have liked them - they resolve a fair amount of detail and are pretty comfortable. Much better than the pair of AKGs I upgraded from (in both comfort and sound quality.
Fairly high impedance - you will pretty much need an AMP to drive them from a laptop or an iPhone. Also, the cable is pretty long (and nonremoveable). Fairly bulky, so you will most likely not be using them on the go anyways.
Recently I've been using HE-400is, which I find to be slightly more comfortable and better sounding.

phoibleAmps are a nice luxury, for sure, but I sometimes use my 250 ohm Beyers straight with my iPod and have tons of volume without cranking it up anywhere close to midway.
