If you look online they have the black/chrome edition ones and other for pretty much the same price or cheaper last week so I don’t get it.
Ive been looking for the 990 premiums 250 ohm for around $200 but can only find them for about $240
These are different than the DT 880 Premium. Beyer has a DT 880 PRO which retails for $249 and the DT 880 Premiums which you can get in 32/250/600 ohm impedance which retail for $219.
Both the DT 880 Pro and Premium 250 ohm use the same drivers to my knowledge. The difference is the PRO has a coiled cable versus straight cable for the premium and the headband on the premium is looser while the PRO model is tighter for increased noise isolation etc. The tightness of the headband will likely result in different sound just based on how they are worn but they do have identical drivers.
In addition, the DT 880 PRO has the snap on removable headband versus the fixed one on the premium model. There are obviously a few other visual differences between the two. I think the premium model IMO looks a bit dated compared to the PRO model but they are both fantastic headphones IMO.
