Great sounding headphone. Almost a 3D in presentation. Spacious, detailed. It can feel very wide requiring me to turn up the volume a bit to bring the details forward. Items to consider as mentioned:
1. No removable cable. Cable is long.
2. Consider these open. You will get no sound isolation from these. This ruins listening in an environment with noise. Especially with the spacious detail the DT880 is analytical for me with the resolution given. Outside noise will not only interfere but agitate as you may want to concentrate into the music.
3. Amp required to bring out the sound stage. I chose 600 ohm for this purpose and love the density of sound given.
4. These are easily had for less then $200 dollars. Frequently on sale on Amazon and a quick used like new purchase bringing the cost below $150 in many cases.
What's your thoughts on the Sennheiser 6x0 line up compared to these Beyers? Worth a listen?
Afraid I have not owned a pair of Sennheiser headphones.
dt770 are amazing. I am compelled to buy the dt880, based on the reviews I have seen.
