I thought mass drop was the Mecha of digital deals. The fact thisproduct can be obtained some place else more quickly and cheaper let’s kind of deflates the image of being able to provide sweet deals. Glad I saw this.

No site has the best deal all the time... technically this is still the best price for this exact flavor of the dt880.

This is the best color way that I've seen. I don't mind paying a little bit more.

The 'Pro' version of the DT880 is normally $250 USD, so this looks like a good deal. The 'Premium Edition' version of the DT880 is usually cheaper at about $180 USD. This drop is for the Pro version in black-on-black. So it's both different and cheaper than usual.

Granted it's been a while since I was in the market for a dt 770/880/990 but over the years the prices have typically fallen into these buckets: Pro - standard edition 250 ohm - typically the cheapest in all three models Premium - 600 ohm typically the most expensive and all resistances generally more expensive than vanilla Pro but varies with any "special edition" Pro/Premium pricing.
