I bought these cans without the ability to power them.... Currently I am looking at either the O2 + ODAC REV B from JDS labs or the Desktop USB Headphone Amplifier by Monoprice which is about a third of the price. Would the O2 + ODAC REV B be that much better, or for the price range would they be relatively the same. Thanks!

IngskiJust go with the O2. And I would wait for Massdrop to drop them which they usually do as opposed to getting it from JDS Labs.

IngskiWould you use the X7's extra features, or do you just need a headphone amplifier? If you can find use for the X7's many other features, why not? But if you just need something that will drive your headphones well, the O2 is what I would recommend due to it being cheaper. That being said, the X7 is not a bad choice, and it's available here and now whereas you'd need to wait for a drop on the O2. You could get the O2 now from other retailers, but it would probably cost the same as an X7, at which point I'd lean towards the X7 just because of all that it offers.
