CurlyWinksMassdrop in their infinite wisdom has chosen to not show pictures of the cable but they list a 9.8 foot cable in the description. I imagine they would list it as a coiled cable if it were and I believe the cable will be straight like they did with the 80 ohm version of the DT70.

keatI don't know the real reason but they did the same thing with the 80 ohm DT770. Someone asked the question on amazon and it was answered as having a straight cable. https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/Tx3P0CDH7D1C9JQ/ref=ask_dp_dpmw_al_hza

TreeFrogshmm interesting doesn't bother me either way (as I joined the drop without caring lol) probably would rather it being straight wouldn't the coil add weight?

keatI’ve got the 250 ohm DT990s and the coiled cable does add extra weight, although I use them mostly at my desk and never run over the cable with my chair like I did with my DT770s that had the straight cable. I haven’t heard the 80 ohm 990s but if they sound like my 250 ohm ones you won’t be disappointed and you’ll likely be able to run them from a smartphone which is convenient.

TreeFrogsfor sure, and of course in the future you can always add an amp to the 80 ohm for a bit better quality
