I noticed the two most recent Beyerdynamic drops both offered the 250 ohm "Premium" version rather than the 600 ohm. AFAIK, the reviewer consensus is that the 600 ohm version is superior across the 770, 880, and 990 models. It's a really nice low price for this drop, not sure if maybe that's affecting the popularity.
