How can you tell the impedance on the headphones besides the label on the box or using a multimeter?

Look at the headphone plug, it will have it written on the side.

Some amps advertise 300 ohms but in reality the amperage of the signal isn't high enough to run the headphone at full power. edit: I failed to notice this was a reply and failed to read close enough to notice this wasn't a question >_< sorry!
