Even at the lowest price of $320 shipped Massdrop is still lagging again behind US sale prices. Both Beyerdynamic T70 and T70p currently available from US dealer for $305 shipped next day. The new Beyerdynamic DT-1770 Pro with much better Tesla 2.0 drivers, improved design and detachable cord hit the market recently. They sells for $375 right now.

brainwaveWhere can you purchase the DT-1770 Pro for $375?
dstartAmazon had (and still has) the DT-1770 on sale. A 20% off coupon (since expired) took the price took the price that low... quite a deal, to say the least.

brainwaveI own a pair of T70 and enjoy its sound very much. According to Klaus from Beyer on head-fi.org, DT1770 Pro is a step up for DT770, which targets professional market. It is not a replacement of T70, which is a consumer product. BTW, I am in US, T70 sells above $350 from reputable vendors, and DT1770 Pro is $478 on Amazon. I do like to try the new Tesla 2.0 driver, and the mini-XLR detachable cable is nice to have as well.

ZZ_UPennI'm sorry, but you just don't know where to look. :) DT1770 Pro was $375 after 20% off discount on Amazon for at least 5 days last week. This coupon has since expired and was replaced by Amazon with the one that does not work on DT1770.
Both Beyers T70 and T70P show $309 right now shipped next day from a reputable authorized US dealer and with a discount coupon even lower. It was at that price all the last week. I wouldn't name the dealer to do not undermine Massdrop sales, but the point is Massdrop prices lately are nowhere near they should be for a group buy.

brainwaveOh well, I am not in the market for another pair of Beyer phones anyway. Thanks for the clarification. Agree with you on the price comment - my T70 purchasing price in March this year was $312 including shipping.

brainwaveHave you actually tried getting one?
Because I've been watching like a hawk since last Thursday, checking both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca every few hours and I couldn't get a deal. By the time I saw coupon on head-fi for 1770, it was expired (though I didn't want 1770 anyhow), and I saw t70 for $309, but shipping to Canada was $20, and while I was thinking, couple hours later it vent back to ~$400.
Second time I saw that deal, I jumped in, put it in the cart, and tried to checkout, just to get message that it's not available anymore by that seller (Amazon.com).
And it was non-P version anyhow.
So getting deal was much harder than it looks. When you're not really trying, you see opportunities everywhere :)

ZZ_UPennYes, it's much better considering the new Tesla 2.0 drivers. Sold out fast in Amazon with the 20% off. ;)

Robin888oh to hell with the tesla 2.0. I demoed DT1770 and it is honestly not a major improvement. I like TH600/TH900 much, much more on all aspects.
