The BGVP DM6 were so hyped by that BDGAudio reviewer that I was expecting Heaven...the DM6 arrived in 45 days from Amazon before 11/11 sale and I was disappointed by three things: 1. The sound nozzle angle and approach was very uncomfortable, the supplied tips did nothing to fix it, Comply Comfort Ts tips only helped a little—made it so I could listen for 15 minutes versus 5. 2. The upper midrange was WACK—LOL! I thought it must have been boosted by 2-6 dB and burning in would help. I switched out the cable for mono crystal copper and it helped a little bit, but still too bright with agonizing and ear piercing “S” sound. 3. The customer service is non existent—lucky for me, I am a prime member and just returned the unit with 29 days of use and trial, and too much error.

Billy-BobbySurprisingly enough, my experience was COMPLETELY different. I LOVE the DM6, they are top of the line under $200. And I only have like 80 different earphones/headphones in my own private collection. 1. They are the most comfortable earphones to my ears. 2. Upper midrange is great to my ears with zero piercing whatsoever - I use a pure copper cable with the original wide-bore tips. 3. No idea about the customer experience but to be honest I never needed one. THE DM6 are hands down one of the best super detailed pair of earphones I have ever had in this price range. Great bass, great mids, big sound stage and amazingly detailed and easy to push. YMMV

nironThanks for the reply. YMMV is true for in-ear monitors. For Reference the most comfortable (in order of highest Comfort level) universal IEMs that I currently own are Westone W80 (I fall asleep with these in my ears, laying on my side/ear, with my Sony WM1A that turns off in 45 minutes), Westone 3, 64 Audio Adele Universal, JVC HA-FXZ100 (Domestic Japanese model), Yamaha EPH-100, Pioneer Rays (more for calls at work), Bose QC30 (great wireless and good ANC), and Soul Byrd beyerdynamic wireless. Note this list is not about sound quality. What are your top ten most Comfortable list out of your 80 IEMs? So, I can get a feel of what fits your ear canal best.

nironGreat IEMs...try the Westone and Shures, then the BGVP DM6 and you’ll notice the angle and approach of the Westone and Shure Sound nozzles are very similar, and the BGVP is quite different. The Westone and Shure have audiologists on staff or as consultants and have made them as comfortable as possible. :)

Billy-BobbyI also have the Shure 846 and love their fit and comfort. I personally enjoy the DM6 SQ more than the Shure, and find the DM6 very comfortable. None of the issues that others have complained about. Use the DM6 in rotation with the MoonDrop Kanas Pro and the TenHZ P4 Pro.

Billy-BobbyKinda felt they were a bit bright.. the symbio peeled tips and a copper balanced cable fixed them right up... also maybe I got use to the sound signature and once I did they were very enjoyable

Billy-BobbyI do agree with you on the harshness of the DM6. The boost in the upper mids and treble region were in areas I do not typically prefer and I found them to be too bright to fully enjoy. There were definitely some good things about them. Luckily, the DM7 doesn't have this issue. I go further in my review I posted about the two, but the DM7 has a more neutral-laid back tuning that I think many people will enjoy.

antdroidGreat to read about the DM7 review. Where can I read your review? I looked but couldn’t find it—it’s probably easy to find.
