Nice pair of IEMs for the average listener
I use a number of OEMs and IEMs for critical listening in my studio and when performing, so I am very opinionated about various products. Overall these are nice IEMs and I would recommend them to an average listener of music. I would not recommend them for folks who listen to low-grade MP3s as they really accentuate the poor quality of low rez format. I would recommend them for higher quality MP3 recordings and lossless recording (e.g. wav etc.).
Straight out of the package these IEMs have a bump in the upper mids that make vocals and guitars more pronounced and the bass, while present, is a little on the softer side. They do mello a bit with hours of use; however, these monitors do take EQ very well and as a result can actually reproduce a very pleasing listening experience when EQ'd properly. This is great for the average audiophile but for the professional sound person it's not so great for checking tracks - I would prefer a non-hyped flatter sounding earbud.
Overall, they fit nicely and sound reasonably good with some fatigue factor if you are unable to EQ the audio. They seem very well made and I know I will find use for them in my listening experience (I think mostly listening to music on my phone with some EQ.) These are mid level earbuds at a reasonable price so I would definitely recommend them for the average listener.
A small hint: when connecting the cables remember Red Right-White Left is the usual format and makes it easier to fit your earbuds quickly when in a hurry.
Would recommend to a friend.
