I purchased and just used this tent for five days in Chicago Basin, Colorado. It held up great in the winds and rain. Condensation was a major issue for me. It would drip down the inside and run under my Klymit air mattress (another massdrop purchase) even on the clear nights. If my hair brushed the top when getting in and out of tent, it would be wet. I was warned on condensation just did not expect it to be so extreme. The floor is also very slippery between the tent and air mattress. Any uneven ground and I was sliding into the side or bottom of tent which would exacerbate the condensation getting on my bag. I will continue to use tent but would not recommend it to my buddies. The hiking pole (fizik, another massdrop purchase) worked great as a tent pole.

Just a warning to buyers. Customer service has not changed at big sky. I recently bought a tent from them, the tent itself is fine. However getting in contact with the company is a chore. I tried before and after I purchased to ask some questions, emails come about once every week or two. Good luck and just a warning

Not sure what to think of the lack of ventilation issue Many sub-2 pound tents have lots of screening yet this tent is much less money. Is that the trade-off with this tent? Simplicity?
jottoh12@jottoh12 - this tent is roughly half mesh, which is good enough for most backpackers and generally what people expect in the "tarp tent" design. The fact that Big Sky warns you about this is a good sign they want you to be happy by getting the shelter that is right for you.
What solo tent to you use?
soooo condensation is the reason it's not recommended for high humidity? I'm backpacking in hawaii this july and looking for lightweight cheap options. Is there anything else I could look into? This seems perfect except for that...
Too true Danny, you can never have it all... I guess most of my usage is in North Carolina woods and mountains, but I just wanted something small and light for Hawaii in case I can't get my hammock up and it's raining.
EZ_livingYou CAN have it all...you just have to spend accordingly. My Solo tent weighs the same as this Big Sky Wisp yet has lotsa room, plenty of ventilation and has performed well in Baja Summers, snowfields in the late Fall and wetlands in the Spring. Yet it cost quite a bit more than the Wisp. That is the beauty of these times...choices.
