Great for hiking, amazing quality. Its been a few years since I've had it and its still going strong. I would recommend getting rechargeable batteries and charging them separately.

I use it hiking for hiking and camping and it’s grest. I like the adjustable light level. I agree that it can be a little cumbersome switching between the different light options, but it’s not too bad once you get used to it.

Works as it should, a much improved design on the previous model which I owned before purchasing this one. The power tap function can be a little annoying when activated accidentally, it would be good if this could somehow be disabled. Otherwise it's powerful, stands up to moisture, has a good battery life and is highly adjustable. Would highly recommend this torch.

Great headlamp. I use it for running and hiking. The controls to cycle through the various lighting options are a little kludgy. That being said, i didnt read the instructions but.. THAT being said, i don’t think a simple tool like a headlamp should need an instruction manual to operate.

Using rechargeable batteries makes it "LESS" bright than if you use regular non rechargeable batteries, because of how they constructed the battery area.. you must use their brand of rechargeable battery other brands won't recharge unless you peel away the lower part of the label exposing the metal area of the battery... ridiculous!
Additionally... the Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp (2017 Version) came back on Massdrop for drastically less than what I paid for it just 4 months earlier.

Really like this headlamp. I have 2 of them and they are good to be able to use rechargeable batteries and standard. With rechargeable batteries you don't get as good performance but still a nice unit.
