I own the Outdoor Research PL 400 Sensor gloves and can tell you firsthand that if I tried chopping wood, using rope, or handling hot foods it would not only not work as intended, but absolutely damage the glove. Let me know if you find gloves made of leather that also have fingerprint sensors that are built to last. I'm in the market for ones that are priced similarly under $50. I'd be very interested in gloves that have touchscreen support and can also be used to handle wood and hot things.

Nice! Could you point out to some of those brands/examples that are good for on/off the slopes. Currently I am looking to replace my Albright gloves (sky/snowboarding). Thanks!

Price is better here than on Amazon--always a good thing--but I'd check there for reviews since so far, none seem to be listed here.
