Can someone help me understand what exactly the Power Magic Pro does?

Spencer_BThe Blackvue is connected to your car battery and draws a small amount of power from it when running. Without power magic pro, if you leave your blackvue turned on while parked (for a very long time), it will slowly drain your battery to zero. Power Magic Pro prevents your Blackvue from doing this by shutting off the Blackvue once the car battery reaches a certain (low) threshold. Generally this isn't a problem, but say you left your car parked for two weeks straight (and had a low battery to begin with), then there's a decent chance that you won't be able to start your car.

MarkThat's assuming that your cigarette lighter socket can still output power when the car is off. My Toyota Matrix actually doesn't output any power when car is off, so PowerMagic Pro isn't going to help me much.

AntonySince the PowerMagic Pro is hardwired into the fuse box of the car it allows you to continue recording while parked and prevent draining your battery down to a point that it'll keep you from being able to start the car. That way you'll have video if someone hit and runs you in the parking lot or something like that.

AntonyPower Magic Pro is designed to be tapped into a constant power source, this can be done through a fuse box or soldered into an actual constant line (such as in an ignition harness) the same way a professional would do it. This avoids the problem of having cigarette lighters run off of accessory instead of constant power. The dash cam will still run if the Power Magic Pro is hooked up correctly to a constant power source that the cigarette lighter plug can't do.

Antony @Antony, your car has power when the ignition is off, just not your cigarette lighter. That is the point of the Power Magic pro, it hard wires to the fuse panel on a live circuit and takes the live power (when the car s off) and provides it to the camera so it can run while the car is parked.
This is my first MassDrop and since I have completed the required number of purchases for the max discount when do the units ship ?

The Massdrop will remain open until Wednesday afternoon- in the meantime other people will be joining the buy. Once the drop ends, we'll order the required quantity from Pittasoft and they'll ship them to us (this generally takes 5-10 days). Once it arrives at our fulfillment center we'll repack everything into individual boxes and ship them out to you (US delivery is 2-4 days, overseas varies).
