I received my BlackVue yesterday and installed it today. Here's a few tips that will help you.
1. If you're using a larger MicroSD card, use a quality MicroSD card reader. The one that came with the unit and other free adapters lying I had were not allowing the BlackVue to read the card corrrectly. I used the BlackVue HD program on the default MSD card to format my 64GB SandiskUltra card with a Kingston FCR-HS3 card reader and things went well.
2. Upgrade the firmware. This fixed some smaller issues I had while setting up initially (settings wouldn't save, the app would forget the password). Here's the website. http://www.blackvue.com/en/contents/sub3.asp?serboardsort=&search=title&searchstr=english
