I'm on the verge of buying this dashcam, and I want to know if A, I can disable "parking mode" (which it seems like I cam from the app but I'm not sure if that just make it constantly record instead or turns it off) and B, which of the two wired power options to use? I only have one 12v jack which is already in use, so I'm not sure if the parking mode switch is needed or not.
Basically when the car is off, I do not want it to be recording at all. I do want it wired to the car however. I'm just worried about battery drain, as my car is a sub-compact and the battery isnt very big.

HarkonnenThat could be a solution, however my car cuts power to the 12v when starting the engine so I'm not sure how that would affect the camera. Maybe that would still happen if it was wired? I'm not sure (the radio does turn off as well but not interior lights)
If push comes to shove that could be a solution, though not optimal. Thank you for the idea though!

TVwazheremost people hard wire this in
you could easily have your 12v tapped into a running fuse only and not to a "always on" fuse
