Would anyone care to explain how this product is >10x as nice as something like this, which can be had for under $30? http://amzn.com/B00E5XDZFU
I mean obviously this is a lot more slick-looking, and comes with a rear camera as well (although the rear is only 720p). Still though, even at the max drop, I'm having a hard time seeing the value proposition here.

the_timRead some of the reviews on that camera you linked. You get what you pay for, mate and you shouldn't really cheap out on these kind of things.

the_timAre you serious? While I would agree that the price could be a little lower :) I would suggest that you do some more research on dash cams. Watch a YouTube review or visit the dashcamtalk forums. This thing is worth every penny.
My only wish is that Massdrop had the BlackVue DR750LW-2CH available.
- 4 inch Touchscreen, - 2.4M Sony EXMOR CMOS Sensor - Wi-Fi- Built-in - 2 1080p HD cameras - Built-in battery discharge protection . (optional Power Magic PRO NOT needed!!)

the_timYou get what you pay for. It is like asking why someone would get the new $900 iPhone when you can get a $30 flip phone. In the end, they both make calls.

VladBBlackVue DR650GW does have GPS, and the quality looks pretty damn good to me

I have a FineVue camera I got on here last year, quality looks about the same on the posted youtube videos. I've been thinking of upgrading to this to get both front and rear coverage.
