Can somebody please tell me where on earth one finds replacement cable for these, given that the pins are on the earpiece and not on the cable? I cannot find any cable with 'female' holes like that!
They take regular 0.78mm 2pin.
I’m using the Yinyoo 8 core cables, which is $18 on Amazon (in brown, black is $20) or about 1/2 that on AliExpress (longer shipping though). They also have a cheaper 6 core.
I can confirm they take a standard .78mm 2-pin cable (male). However, the connector will be "naked" compared to the stock cable.
Try KZ cable for ZSN/ZS10 Pro. They call it like "type 3"or "type C" cable.
okeee..thankyou so much, but can you explain these images from Ali, which appear to show what I was referring to? The cable connector is 'female' and the earpiece itself 'male'? Am I crazy or what?
was going from this illustration!
This KZ cable won't fit... I have tried.
You just can't see it well in that picture but the cable has male connectors recessed in a sleeve like the kz cable someone linked a picture to. The earpiece still has the female side, but the plastic housing just sticks out a bit adding to the confusion. Rest assured, the cable side is male and IEM side is female.
Yeah you are indeed crazy. We clearly see the "holes" on the IEM and the pins on the cables. It's not because the pins are surrounded by plastic that they aren't male plugs.
Search for QDC cables, these are the type you're referring to. The main problem however is that the connector on the bl-03 itself is rectangular whilst these cables are generally oval-shaped. I filed down the plastic protecting the pins on the earphones (pictured) so that I could fit a QDC cable, but if you're not prepared to do this then a standard "male" 2-pin will do the trick.
Hi @Kakaworu, do you know if the cable pins are not reversed like the QDC cables?
The current of speaker drivers is AC as far as i've known, especially on a single DD headphone. So if you reverse both L/R pins of your headphones they would sound just fine. Well, mine work fine under these circumstances.
As for hybrid headphones with some circuit. I am not so sure.
Correct me if i was wrong.
I tested my bl03 connectors on polarity test website. They only went out of phase when i put the connectors "asymmetrically"(-+/-+). And they sound in phase whether i put them (-+/+-) or (+-/-+). So i guess if you put the connectors symmetrically it's all fine. And as far as I've known most manufacturers have symmetrical connectors including BLON.
use 2 pin, not QDC. these are 2 pin compatible, they do not fit into QDC cables, I made this mistake and had to return, and buy a 2 pin cable. The stock cable and iem housing is a recessed form factor, but it's not the same shape as the QDC standard, so the only cable that even works like that for these is the stock cable. They are 2 pin iems though, so just buy 2pin cables.
2 pin cables. all of them work just fine. It's a stupid proprietary shape for a recessed fit like the stock cable, but they are not QDC unless you want to try and file down the iems to get them to fit into the QDC connector. Just buy 2pin
KZ cables might not work: the pin housings are rounded on the inside and won't fit over the rectangular raised plug on the blon blo3 earbud.
KZ cables have QDC connectors, i believe the blon bl03 uses a .78mm 2pin.
