Punches WAY above it's weight $$ wise
Exceptional detail, imaging and bass. Plain and simple I hear things with these that I do not hear from my ZSX10 Pro, TinT2, TinT3Pro and Tin P1 Planars. They are my daily...I keep trying the others and ALWAYS go back to the BLON 03. Want a negative? The cable it comes with is pretty much trash so I highly recommend replacing that. But to be honest, it's a small price to pay...

Loving these
I am a big fan of cheap audio that sounds good. Who wouldn't be? I have a couple of sets of Tin T2s that I like, but they are a bit sterile for my tastes. Lately at work I've mostly been using some Koss KPH-30is, because once again cheap and good-sounding. I like the fact that they actually produce some bass but don't sound terrible when they do it. Got the BLONs....oh wow. These are quite possibly my favorite-sounding things. The bass is way better than I expected, and I was expecting it to be pretty good. Treble is still there, and never shrill with no sibiliance. Probably a bit more emphasis on the bass than people who want a flat response would like, but I enjoy it. Gives good depth to everything without being overwhelming (or sounding terrible). I haven't minded the cables as much as other people seem to. Sure you need two hands to put them in, but I can deal with that. I might try some foam tips a some point. Right now I'm using the largest of the silicone tips that they come with and getting a good seal and good sound, but they start to get a little bit uncomfortable after an hour or so. But every IEM does that for me, so don't judge them harshly by that measure. I can't recommend these highly enough.

So here we have a $40 iem that, from everything I've watched & read, needs you to then at least double it's price in order to attain all of its positive attributes. So what we're really talking about is a minimum $80 iem. There's no getting around that. I'm not saying that this still does not make these a bargain. It's just less of a one. At the $70 to $80 level they're up against other Drop earphones offered in that relative price range like the Tenhz P4 Pro, BVGP DMG, Acoustic Research AR-E10 & others. Can these come close? I don't know but I'm highly skeptical. I need another set of iem's like I need the proverbial hole in the head but I just might try these out just because. I'm actually more interested in how they sound stock than I am in altering them.

Okay...…. I've been living with these for almost 2 months now. These are a carefully designed study in psychoacoustics. They offer a very high level of clarity & imaging is pretty damn good especially when their price is taken into account. I personally didn't have too much trouble with the fit outside of they wouldn't hold their position for long. They would keep working their way out. I did switch to some foam tips. I found the cable to be acceptable for the price. Switch it out if you want to but I didn't find it necessary. Sonically, the BL-03's are a shock to your system when you first put them on. The clarity just hits you in the face. The upper midrange & treble are impressive. As I said before, these a carefully crafted & no accident or lucky coincidence (as Zeos suggested). They also managed to reduce the right on the edge treble before any hint of sibilance kicks in. There is a hump in the mid bass that can seem overblown on some tracks while helping other tracks. I mostly found it inoffensive. Isolation is probably the worse of any iem I own but it somehow doesn't affect the listening experience too much when music is playing. The BL-03's offer a different type of sound profile. It was one that left me unsettled in the long run & it took me some time to really figure them out. They are upper midrange/lower treble forward. This led to some mild ear fatigue for me after an hour or so of listening. It took some time for me to get to the root of what was leaving me feeling meh about them. I took some time to look at several frequency response graphs just to confirm my suspicions. These are what most would call U-shaped but I would call them Trough-shaped. The FR starts to dip from 100Hz to about 350Hz where it is roughly 10db down. It stays fairly flat at this level until it starts to rise back up at just over 1kHz until it peaks out at about 2.2kHz ( a 12db rise). I find it really problematic on baritone, lower tenor & lower contralto voices. Listen to acoustic piano, choir music or anything with multiple voices harmonizing & anything in the depression is greatly reduced resulting in a tonal imbalance despite the clarity & other positives they bring to the table. It leaves them sounding thin & lacking body. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it. So, for me, although they offer great clarity & detail that can be addictive, they are not overall better than the Acoustic Research AR-E10 ($80). The AR-E10 has that midrange magic. The Shozy Form 1.1 ($60) are better to my ears & don't require a tip or cable repurchase so they equate price-wise. My KEF M200 ($50) are better despite their known fit issues. Even my Advanced Wearable Audio AWA 101 ($20), while technically not in the same class, have a more tonally pleasing presentation to my ears. So while I'm glad that I have them & find them particularly interesting from the viewpoint of things to come, they're not a favorite. The midrange dip needs to be brought up at least 5db across that whole range for me.

These are tuned incredibly well but expect to replace the cable and tips to get a proper seal. The stock cable’s earhooks yank the earphone itself out of your ears and you’ll most likely need different tips or keyboard o-rings (nozzle is a bit short). Most people in the IEM hobby have plenty of spare tips and tables though :D

These are lower-fi in resolution especially in the mids, but have nice balance. They're a nice diversion -- but hardly end-game, and do not require the cognoscenti to obtain multiple copies before the the foolish company kills the golden goose and ends the product. They're only stunning compared to using them with trashy accessories. Seems I'm still "listening for the secret, searching for the sound." _________________________________________________________________ Edit: These are very good, not perfect but nothing bugs me. I'm not crazy but prefer these to the LCD-1, which cost 10x as much.

I own the oh1 and the bl-03, I prefer the bl-03 due to the warmer and still detailed and rich sound. Oh1 have more detail, seperation And soundstage. But can get a bit bright and sloppy in really full music like metal. For this reason I would say you can use the bl-03 for all music and enjoy them. For some kind of music and gaming the oh1 is better. But I'll use my bl-03 much more than my oh1 and if I can only have one I'll keep the bl-03

Can somebody please tell me where on earth one finds replacement cable for these, given that the pins are on the earpiece and not on the cable? I cannot find any cable with 'female' holes like that!

KZ cables might not work: the pin housings are rounded on the inside and won't fit over the rectangular raised plug on the blon blo3 earbud. KZ cables have QDC connectors, i believe the blon bl03 uses a .78mm 2pin.

For those looking for information on compatible cables, any standard 2 pin will fit, however the plastic protecting the female pins on the earphones will be exposed. The cable type which covers this is called "QDC" (or "type C" as KZ refers to it). The problem with the BL-03 however is that this plastic surrounding the pins on the earpiece is rectangular, whereas these cables are generally oval-shaped. If you're prepared to do a little DIY then the plastic can be filed down to allow QDC cables to fit. Here's a picture of mine with the Tripowin C8 cable fitted.

timoteeWhy would you get a QDC cable to protect the plastic surrounding the pins, when you have to shave the plastic to even get the QDC to fit? ffs just get 2 pin cables people.

DROP, you should do a bundle with good cables and Dektoni tips. IMHO, these are required as the originals are terrible. Once you get the proper fit, they are simply amazing for the $!

Any balanced pure copper from Aliexpress is under $20-25 and changes the game completely... The Bl03 are also cheaper on Ali right now. Check it out

I am having issue with mine. I hear good solid bass and good dynamics, but I am having audio pops and scratches only on these that I just got. My other headphones and IEMs are fine. Do you guys think this is a build quality issue?

J1aE_doN9I had the same issue with a set I bought on Amazon and it was the stock cable, when I changed it the pops went away.

J1aE_doN9Happened to me and as the other guy said, I think is the cable. In my case the problem was because I was using the right cable in the left earphone. It stopped when I changed the orientation.
