tldr: large tips and cable are too small for my medium-large ears. Audio is bass heavy, but overall acceptable. Maybe try out the Chu II's for around the same price, usually cheaper.
Okay I'll start off with my main criticism. The bend on the cables is Way too sharp - the cables keep actively fighting to pull the buds out of my ears. Also the ear tips all run a little small. Even the large size isn't *quite* big enough. (My ears are on the bigger side, but certainly not huge. Usually sit between M/L ear tips, but for these I wish they came with an XL). If your ears are overall on the small side I imagine this won't be much of an issue.
That being said, the build quality on the buds themselves is quite good, they feel sturdy. I got the matte black and am a big fan of the finish. The cable itself is also of good quality, though I did replace it with the Linsoul Grace cable (3.5mm trrs w/ mic) for about $12 because the curve is much more gentle and thus fits my ears better.
(I'm no expert, take my assessment of the sound with a grain of salt. My basis for what I enjoy are my HD 650's) If you get a good seal, the sound is pretty bass-forward with honestly not a whole lot of anything else. Wouldn't go so far as to say it's overpowering, but it's certainly a little muddy. Very little mid/treble presence except right at the very top end where there's a bit of a grating quality to the treble. For most pop music I've found it to be acceptable, but it goes downhill with anything with more instrumentals or if you're hoping for something more vocal-forward. High-hats in rock got rather harsh and fatiguing, and the bass drum was definitely more forward than most anything else. To be clear, it's not *bad* it just depends on what you want. For the average person they sound great. For someone who wants a cheap pair of earbuds to toss in their bag and have in case they need a wire or don't want to deal with over-ears (the camp I fall into), you could probably do better, but these are fine. For someone starting their journey into nicer audio, I'd recommend finding something else to give you a better showing of what good audio is capable of, even around this price.
If I was able to return these I probably would have done that and tried out the Moondrop Chu II instead. The only reason I went with these is bc I specifically wanted a 3.5mm jack with a mic, and the Chus have either a 3.5 with no mic, or type-c with a mic. Had I known I was gonna replace the cables on these anyway, I would've gotten the Chus.
