Just got mine from Linsoul after placing an order on Monday. I got the gold pair and its really a copper color but I absolutely love how it looks. Mine came with a case and the cable packaged with it was a nicer braided one.

ElsidEdit: After having these quite some time. They have a very very warm and relaxed signature. The details/clarity is kind of lost because of how much warmth there is. There doesn't seem to be any treble sparkle or energy either, very inoffensive. I tend to like this HP more on a brighter more resolving dac/amp set to help reduce some of the warmth. I can imagine they can be EQ'd, maybe a different pad change would help.

JJPabloIt is absolutely possible that changing the pads could help, the ones that come with it are just a generic comfy fabric material. On the bright side, after letting these warm up (physically and to my heart) they have a very chill warm presentation and you can just relax and listen (think of a dark dreary cold day outside, a nice big plush comfy chair and a warm fire). Sit back, sink in and relax to some lofi tunes. So warm and cozy! I still think my original assessment of them hasn't changed much and not sure how others will feel about them other than maybe possible regret. So don't go into them thinking you are getting something that is punching above its weight (not intended as a pun since it does have some weight to it).

JJPabloI have a few brainwavz XL pads laying around, Hybrids and Cooling Gels. They look like a perfect match however I am a bit afraid of trying to pry off the ones that are installed on it as they are in there pretty good and difficult to get off without damaging.

JJPabloI can totally see that happening, I have pried off plenty of pads before but this one was in there pretty darn good. I am overall satisfied with the way it sounds with the stock pads on for now, this is now my official lofi headphone but I would definitely be interested in hearing how others do with their pad rolling experience if they attempt it.

I wonder if the magic behind the blons are the 70mm drivers, I am impressed with your dedication to the Sony MA900's which also have a 70mm driver. I can see why you would want to get a few sets, for preservation and an extra set for the office. If you ever decide to pick up this blon you should definitely leave a comment behind on how you think they compare. If it is the 70mm driver that is behind this voodoo I am extremely interested in scaling up and maybe trying out some Audeze headphones since they have pretty massive drivers also.

For you or somebody else I can't be sure about since I am not sure how you will react to the sound signature or how much time you plan on spending with these before giving up because as you saw in my initial thoughts after putting them on right out of the box I wasn't exactly thrilled.

JJPabloBrainwavs XL pads do fit perfectly. There are three small allen bolts hidden behind the fabric which you will need to tear to gain access to. The grills on the cup are not glued and will pop off with a small hook or something sharp which then reveals the nuts securing the allen bolts. I used the XL Pleather pads, the better isolation did help with the bass and also the comfort but still do not offer a tight isolation. There is a small fabric cover in the middle of the driver at the rear, you can alter the sound by removing this completely or sealing it

RamboneIf I'm honest no, the sound definitely has improved by the pad changeout and I'm sure I will elevare the bass even further with some mods, but at the moment I've got fed up with their mids and pushed them to the side, will go back to them at some point haha

DiabolynchI can totally understand, I had to break them in and then let them break me in to get to a point where I could enjoy them as I am sure you read my sour response upon first listening to them. It does sound like ripping the pads off and putting on other ones might be a waste of resources and time. Thanks for your input, I hope you find enjoyment out of them at some point. I was also thinking, what do you have these hooked up to? Right now I have mine connected to an ESS Sabre based amp and it seems to pair the best to my ears. I tried two different tube amps and varying tubes but haven't found one I liked yet (I have some Reflektor Silver Shields arriving today to test but I have been swapping around between tung-sol, rockets, Mullards, JAN, generic GE and JJs), Creative G6 was okay along with the THX but the ESS seemed to give the set a bit more punch and boost.

RamboneI'm using a Douk Audio Little Bear P7 tube amp, the amp is my go to amp for all of my other headphones, so it is my reference for whether or not a headphone is to my taste or not. And so far they're not 😂 I will be having a pmay around and making some cups to replace the mesh to turn them into closed backs and see what happens. I shall kepp yous posted on that one lol

RamboneMine just came in from Linsoul. I have been listening to them for a few hours now and the sound is...interesting. The big downside is I have large head and the fit is not ideal. The yokes they used to attach the cups to the headband do now allow for the cups to angle upward, so the bottom of the cup dosnt touch under my ears. I spent a lot of time bending the headband metal to get it pretty close. Put on brainwave XL pads and that seemed to help with a better seal as well. I have some ZMF pads on the way to see it that will improve the fit a bit more.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones.
