these look better than any of the other blon iems, but they sound just pretty ok and similar to the much cheaper models. The large shape from the goofy design also makes them uncomfortable/heavy in some ears. honestly probably not worth the moeny, I used the bl-05s more than these

Good Value, Great Look
I own way too many headphones; for IEMs I have relied on a pair of Etymotic ER4s. All that said, I do not consider myself an expert or especially articulate. I just like this stuff and have the time to pipe up about these lookers. First off, these buds need a good 24 hours of burn-in before passing any judgement. At 1st it felt like I had wasted my Drop credits - sibilant, mushy mids, no bass. I mean, wtf. I am presently listening to Patricia Barber (Clique) streaming off Tidal from my MacBook, and I must say they sound very good. Still some sibilance on some vocals but now the exception rather than the rule; good mids; mid-base now present and tight; little-to-no sub-base but not expected either. Running them off my O2 stack doesn't make much of a difference. Haven't run them off my Samsung S10e enough to comment. I have done some A/B with my Sennheiser 6XX + O2 Stack and the BL-A8s are more forward and a narrower sound stage. That said, I like how they sound. Clean and fairly neutral. These are better than I would have thought for $80. Add in the great look and they are well worth it.

Stylish but mediocre
Honestly I bought these because as an engineer I think they look awesome. As an iem these are ok. The mids and highs are pretty good for the price. The bass leaves you wanting more. I think the small cavity with the exoskelton design is largely at fault there. Overall not upset.
