I will also voice my frustration here. I know it's difficult dealing with external vendors - particularly around the holiday - but given that many of us bought this as a gift for someone it seems that in this specific case more communication would be better. If nothing else it would give us time to find something smaller to fill the gap this gift leaves.
UPDATE: JUST got the shipping info and, sure enough, missed Christmas. Last time I join any drop in December in hopes for a Christmas present.
