A friend of mine who has both the Blue Ever Blue 1001SV and the 328R told me that the 328R which is fantastic is like a Nissan where the 1001SV is a Lexus.

BentleyBentley, that has to be the best comparison I've read so far.
I own the 328R and they're amazing for their model.

Can anyone give a description of the sound? Are they very flat? How does the treble sound?

A musician friend of mine told me he replaced his Shure SE 535 ($500 value) with these because of the sound performance. I would rate the 1001SV a "6" on a 5 scale if possible. The sound is esceptional. They are obviously flying under the radar.

I can't comment on this product in particular...
However, I can say that the https://www.massdrop.com/buy/blue-ever-blue-328r blew me way despite being earbuds. I would get these too if I already haven't spent so much money on sound peripherals already.

I have a pair. They use the same sound technology as the Blue Ever Blue 328r but they are much better built and have a very wide and clear soundstage.

I haven't heard the Ostry KC06A. But based on the comments I have read about it I believe the 1001 may be superior to it in the bass range.

BentleyI see. How about the mids and highs? Also, are there any other IEMs which you can relate the 1001SVs to?

I wanted to mention the price difference as well, but you know sometimes things get more expensive the further they are from their country of origin. Like HHKB, which reminds me, Massdrop, Y U NO DROP HHKB?

KappaYeah that's true. Lol the keyboard? I'm so tempted to jump on this drop though >.< Just exchanged one of my IEMs for a different pair so I'm fairly content for the time being but still...
