Am I the only one noticing significant noise floor when using with average impedance IEMs? I'm using 30 ohm IEMs and i can hear a very audible white noise at all times. I'm using the adapter for low impedance and i still am getting significant noise. It's very noticeable during quiet parts of music tracks. Other than the noise the amp is good, but for me the noise is a deal breaker.
Update:
So I've been trying to use this for one day now and I just can't get over the noise. In NO WAY should this be marketed towards IEM users. This is PURELY a device for higher impedance loads. Using with crappier earbuds, I don't hear the noise as much but what's the point of using this with crappy earbuds?
s4soochHi, we do sell a low gain version more appropriate for IEMs. At some point we'd like to have them both on Mssdrop but the drop is for the Hi Gain version. We'd be happy to exchange it to you for free, if you agree to pay for shipping if the attenuation of the impedance adapter is not sufficient. May I ask what models IEM you are using? Sensitivity is more of a factor than impedance, and senssitivity of your ears. You are not the only one that would hear that but most don't, it's good for you your earring is above average, but still, it's a high gain device and we'd be happy to provide you with the version more suitable for you.
