Would this be overkill for a iPhone 7 Plus? With the lack of headphone port I am trying to play my HD6XX, HD650s, AKG 7XX, etc on my iPhone - mostly at work

awakeningosirisI got mine from the crowdfunding campaign. I use mine with my iPhone 8+, where the native AAC streaming means the music in my iCloud (and Apple Music) don’t have to be reencoded for bluetooth.
I have both both an HD 650 and a preproduction HD 58X Jubilee, both sound great and the GET powers them better than a Dragonfly Black DAC (Haven’t tried the Red). Major upgrade sonically from the Creative E3, while also being more compact than the E1.
My only gripe is with Bluetooth in general... music and videos are great, but there is a slight latency when playing games. It’s not a big deal, even playing PUBG Mobile, but rhythm games that rely on sound cues are tough. Same latency as using Airplay with an apple TV and other headphones I’ve tried with built-in Bluetooth, so this isn’t a unique issue to the GET.
Overall, while I like the sound of my FiiO X7 player better (which is bigger and more expensive), the GET is small and convenient enough for EDC and on-the-go listening, and great-sounding enough that I use the GET at home in my bed or other spaces away from my desktop setup in my home office.
