Is there a reason why the picture for the standard ANSI layout has a missing hot swap socket for the escape key?

Just a head up in case this wasn’t clarified. These are north facing switches which means GMK caps will have interference with your switches.

Would buy if there was an option for standard ISO. Maybe next time?

How do you backspace if you have a rotary knob?

Like @jpham0x said, the rotary knob is next to the backspace key. What may not be immediately obvious is that this means you end up with a 1U backspace (half the usual width), which may or may not work for you.

There's also some sort of VIA compatibility where you can flash the backspace to the R2, which seems weird, but it's closer and now I prefer. Instead of that big ass PIPE key.

No tsangan layout option and all options available have north-facing switches. But hey, let's add an encoder option for those enthusiasts lol "Start things off right" is not exactly the right term. New hobbyists will be starting off wrong if they want to use GMK or any cherry profile keycaps, which Drop sells often. "South-facing sockets" is just misleading those wanting south-facing switches/LEDs.

Drop also sells a ton of shine through oem keycaps (north preferred) and mt3 (orientation agnostic). It's ok to offer north facing on some pcbs.
