I have one of these and I love it. I go to several quilting retreats and dreaded the bad coffee at retreat centers. The Bodum French press is my solution and I can start my day with a tasty coffee that stays hot for a couple hours.

marshasneedlesDo you leave the coffee grounds in it? I always find, when using my French press at home, that the coffee will get bitter if I don’t pour it into my mug.

DangerDave91I do leave the grounds in. They sit securely underneath the mesh plunger and don't leak through. Pouring the brewed coffee into another container, removing the grounds, and then pouring coffee back into the mug isn't a step I'd take as the coffee would lose a lot of heat. I usually add a small amount of half & half or milk to my coffee to cut the bitterness of coffee so I don't notice the bottom bitterness so much.
