Well, I bought this knife they my Mothers account as she was trying to buy it for Xmas for me, they said it was a “completed drop” and was indeed on the way. Turns out the very next day they returned my moms money and cancelled the order, saying they have no idea when or if they will make more of these knives. Basically a 100% failure to do their own business. Wtf? This marks my first and last attempt to ever order from this company again , despite their $5 coupon code . Pfft....never again.
It might be cheap junk, but at least it's ugly. This and the AC Cobra could go head to head. Or butt to butt. Maybe I can console myself with the horrid looking ergos. Even if I liked it, I am not sure that I would buy a Boker Plus without having it in my hands. It's certainly a step up from the Magnum series, but it is not where the Arbolitos or the German ones are. Altho the blade is probably too thin to snap in two (1/16") I will end on a positive note. The materials are certainly good.
DollarCatI said it might be. And it probably is. The Boker Magnum line is their bargain basement stuff. More than one person has posted in forums that the QC on these is hit and miss. I make knives thru the transmogrification of US currency. My cost is never more than the advertised price. Unless the seller has S&H charges. And tax. In closing, I am not sure about the reason that you are offended by my opinion about it being ugly. Everything else is supported by others in multiple online forums. I have a couple of Bokers. They are OK. Oh, I do own an Arbolito kitchen knife. It is quite good. I have a Wusthoff, a Konosuke gyuto, and a Gihei nakiri that are wonderful and get used to the exclusion of the others. Well, I do like my Old Hickory high carbon chef's knife. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Tree Brand but other knives keep getting in the way.
