I have one of these and the thumb stud flip is very rough. You have to hold it a very specific way. I’d say that this is the worst thumb stud knife I own. The flipper isn’t very good either but it’s serviceable. The scales are definitely the best thing about it. Unfortunately, you don’t cut with them. Given the chance to go back and not buy it, I would have saved my money. Even if I didn’t spend much on it.
