Designed by Jason Stout, the aptly named Stout Commander is a workhorse folder fit for demanding tasks. Measuring over 8 inches long, the knife commands attention—and this new version in particular commands even more, courtesy of the glow-in-the-dark handle made of luminous, shredded carbon fiber. The 3.6-inch D2 blade is hefty and strong. A good press on the flipper will prompt it open, unhindered. The stainless steel portion of the handle serves as the frame lock, while the shredded carbon fiber scale provides good grip retention and a zap of welcome style. It’s not just the look and build of this knife that’s special, either: part of a limited run, each knife is serialized with a number below 600.
