The Micarta has a nice texture and the Bolt Action is wel build. Both stand the test of time do far. The Titanium coated tip is a bit scuffed up, but overall the pen is in great condition.
The pen looks great and I love the weight. Honestly the way it feels in my admittedly xl sized hands is too small length wise and the ridges make a natural grip, well not natural. The bolt action works well, is super cool, and the main reason I bought the pen
I picked up the carbon fiber version of this pen and it does work well. I can see why most people enjoy the size but its a little to small for me (I have very large hands) It lost a star for me because the bolt action is a little stiff and I feel they could have smoothed over the bolt a little bit more. Other than that, its a good writing instrument.
I bought this in the micarta version and I'm glad I did. The bolt operation is smooth, the surface of the pen is silky and it feels great in the hand. It is a little shorter than I anticipated but that isn't a problem once you hold it. The only gripe I had was the refill that came in it. I have since traded it out with a Parker gel refill and it is now one of my favorite pens. The next time I see this one roll through I will probably buy another so that my wife stops trying to steal it.
I like the heft and size of the pen. Glad I got the Micarta instead of the carbon. The mechanism is pretty smooth and definitely something to fidget with.
