Product Description
The Boker Plus FR is knifemaker Brad Zinker’s response to the EDC community’s call for a heftier version of the original Urban Trapper. Following the popularity of our exclusive version of the Urban Trapper, we applied the same community-voted colors to its stouter cousin, the Boker Plus FR Read More

Not Perfect, Great Value.
So Boker Plus QC isn't always perfect but I ended up with one that is pretty good. Love the color combination, the upgraded blade steel, and the overall look. Its definitely a smaller knife (as is its brother the Urban Trapper). The action on it is great. Like many other Titanium Frame/Liner locks without a steel insert lock-bar, there can be a bit of lock stick. I used a marker to fix this problem. Its definitely a nice light EDC and don't think you can go wrong with the Materials at this price.

Ok
Pretty good lightweight little pocket knife. I love the pocket clip, materials, look, and design. I hate the paint on the blade and I get a little bit of rub on the frame.

The perfect EDC
This is the perfect every day carry knife. Perfect size, looks bad ass, but is not cheesy like 99.99% of the other edc knives out there. I should have bought two or more.

Slightly disappointed
The overall quality of the product was disappointing. There is blade play when the knife is open. As if the lock doesn't engage fully. The blade rocks forward and backward a bit as it makes weird screeching sound. I haven't taken it apart yet to try to fix the issue. I don't know if it's just mine or if other people have experienced that. Otherwise, I found the knife very attractive and the materials are great. If I can't fix it, I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

great knife looks stunning! but the usual lock stick problems also had problems with the flip on the push method , blade didn't deploy fully , so taken apart re-oiled and put back together. now it works like a dream!! come on Boker , I don't remember applying for a job to sort these little q/c problems out for you !!! its a beautiful looking knife and has become one of my favourite's in my personnel edc, and I love the way it feels in my hand and it achieves what I want , just one note more I think the edge could be sharper it wasn't shaving sharp out of the box{ it is now after a visit to Mr Whetstone }and if Kershaw can manage this i'm sure you can??

My experience with Boker Plus, generally makes me worry about the pivot. This knife has been a lot better. I took the clip off and noticed some thread locker, something I don't always see on Boker Plus. One screw nearly completely stripped under the pressure though. Quality control is an issue. One side of frame is the advertised blue. The other side and the clip is a muddy purple. The blade flips open well, but closing the blade isn't smooth. My best guess is the black coating and lack of oil in the bearings and washers. The blade coating has a slight tackiness. When slicing boxes, I noticed when there was tape, the blade would get caught up. However, if you're set on a FR, the uniqueness, upgraded steel and price makes this option the one to get. VG-10 is too brittle for thin blades. I've seen a sharp VG-10 edge flake off with lateral pressure on tough plastics. S35VN is harder to sharpen, but a much tougher steel.

Exactly what I expected as I had an FR with VG10 direct from Boker. First, blade shape is great, but definitely not a good slicer unless you plan to reprofile the grind. I did and now it cuts like it should. The centering was so-so and the flipper does not have a strong detent and it was misfiring with light flipping. Took it apart, cleaned, lubed, and centered the blade. Now it flips reliably and the centering is dead on. Also, there is some titanium lock stick, but it works in quickly and is barely noticeable. No more than my Strider PT does and it’s a three hundred dollar knife. Boker Plus (Chinese) has some nice designs, but they generally leave something to be desired when it comes to the finishing. If you don’t mind finishing the work for them, they can be great.

MSF1To get it slicey did you just reprofile the bevel or did you do a full regrind?

Not impressed. Centering sucks. Scraping when unlocking. Not buttery smooth. But it’s a nice blade and looks good. I’m thinking I received a lemon..
