I wish I had done my research before I committed to this deal. I was under the impression the knife was made in Germany where Boker is based. I have since learned that their Plus division of knives is manufactured in either Taiwan or China. I really hope this knife is not made in China. China really sucks at making quality products. On the other hand I have occasionally gotten some nice stuff from Taiwan.
jrd417I've had good experiences with the Taiwanese Bökers in the past. Solid knives from a reputable name either way.

Erik-the-Bike-ManI agree, Taiwanese steel used to be of variable quality, but more recently steels from there have been much more consistent and of good quality. In this case VG-10 says that the steel has gone through more quality control than you see with 440C.
