Sometimes simple tools are the best tools. Take the Boker Prime for example, a full-tang fixed blade with a paracord-wrapped handle. Designed by tattoo artist Thomas Krug, the knife is simple but has a bit of flair. The spine has two concave grooves for finger placement. Opposite the spine is a blade guard to prevent your fingers from sliding too far. Knowing the designer’s background, it’s easy to see his stylish artistic choices. One of his most important has to be the blade’s thickness. At 7 millimeters, it’s up to really any task you bring to its attention. Another nice addition is the included Kydex sheath, which has a built-in diamond sharpening stone for blade touch-ups in the field.
