I purchased mine 2 years ago and it just died. Bonavita says there is nothing that can be done, no repairs offered (even if I pay) and I can't even buy just the base or just the kettle to replace what is broken. They basically said I am out of warranty and to go away. Pretty bad service for a $100 kettle imo.

ohwowhiSince you have nothing to lose, you can try fixing it. I had mine for about 2 years. It was intermittent and then stopped working. Opened the base. I think the pins that touch the socket on the kettle get bent in too much and make poor contact. I bent them to be tighter on the socket. Also scraped the contact points a little with a pick and then cleaned them with alcohol and gauze. After that, the thing has worked fine for another 6 months.

ohwowhiI wish mine had lasted that long. Mine does 13 months in. I'm waiting to hear back from their warranty form.

givemeyourshoesWish you the best, they did nothing for me and I ended up purchasing a Hario stove top kettle which while less convenient seems a lot more robust.

ohwowhiAs to not be without a kettle while I wait on them, I picked up a Brewista 1.2L stove top kettle with built in thermometer. It's way nicer. And I can take it camping.
